HedeDanmark

HedeDanmark a/s is owned by the association Hedeselskabet, which has been engaged in afforestation, forest, and nature management since 1866. In a contemporary perspective, the purpose of Hedeselskabet is to counteract and mitigate climate change, contribute to increasing biodiversity, and develop effective solutions for sustainable utilization of nature's scarce resources and recycling.

HedeDanmark has a longstanding collaboration with forest owners, managing a total of 80,000 hectares of forest, where we assist in the management and development of their forests. Additionally, we occasionally collaborate with a wide range of other forest owners.

Together with our partners, we supply over 250,000 cubic meters of roundwood to Danish and international customers and approximately 1.5 million cubic meters of wood chips to Danish power/heat plants. We have more than 50,000 hectares covered by our forest certification scheme, and we help our forest owners develop nature values on more than 17,000 hectares of natural areas.

HedeDanmark, along with eight of its partners in forest management, participates in the LIFE ForFit project: I/S Brøns, Clasonsborg owned by the Danish Teachers' Association, Færchs Plantage and Grindsted Plantage owned by Hedeselskabet, Høllund Søgård ApS, Sondrup Plantage ApS, St. Hjøllund Plantage, and A/S Stilde Plantage.
